Ian Henson, General Manager- Head Professional
Ian's experience ranges from Associate Professional at Gleneagles Golf Course and Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club to Head Professional at Redwoods Golf Course and most recently Senior Associate Professional at Capilano Golf & Country Club. In 1999 Ian was recognized with the Junior Promoter Of the Year Award at the BCPGA Annual Awards.
Ian has been successful in his golf career which includes a win in the 2002 Pro Team Classic Pro Am in Hawaii, the NAIA National Long Drive Champion, qualification play in two Canadian Tour Events, four time provincial team member, four time LMAC tour tournament winner, runner up for the 1995 BC Assistants Championship and held course records of 65 at the Redwoods Golf Course and 62 at Gleneagles Golf Course. He also has a personal best of 7 under 29 on the back nine at Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club.
Lindsay Jackson, Pro Shop Manager - Assistant Professional
Lindsay Jackson started playing golf at the age of 10 and competed throughout BC in many junior events. She played on the Women's golf team at the University of Montevallo in Alabama for 2 years then moved on to UBC for one year. The UBC team won the NAIA National Championship with Lindsay placing 4th overall individually.
Lindsay began teaching golf in 2001 for Eaglequest. She has experience teaching both adults and junior from beginner to advanced levels. Her focus is keeping concepts simple and easy to understand to ensure individual goals are reached.
Lindsay has been involved with the BC Golf Association since 2003 and is currently a Provincial Coach. She is involved with high performance programs as well as developmental players across the province. Starting in 2004 until present Lindsay has been the Head Coach of the Douglas College Women's Golf Team, a program she developed. Lindsay was also the Assistant Coach of the Women's and Junior Girls' National Teams in conjunction with the Royal Canadian Golf Association in 2006.
Lindsay has a passion for coaching and is always striving to provide the best information for her students. She balances a technical, physical, mental and tactical approach to the game. Lindsay has completed certification within the CPGA and LPGA Associations and is currently completing a Sport Science Coaching Diploma.
Scott Allan, Associate Professional
Having played golf since age 12 and being the Saskatchewan PGA Assistant Professional Player of the Year in 1996, Scott can relate well to golfers of all abilities and has a very easygoing approach to teaching the game of golf.
Scott started as an Assistant Professional in Saskatoon in 1993 at Silverwood Golf Club and moved on to Golden Golf & Country Club as an Assistant/Associate Professional in 1998. After writing the Class A Exam, Scott worked as the Head Professional/Manager of the Nakusp Golf Club from 2001 to 2004. Scott was happy to join the team at Sun Rivers Golf Resort in 2005.
Scott's most recent golfing accomplishments include a 41st place showing at the Canadian PGA Club Professional Championship in Florida in November 2004 and a Top 25 finish at the BCPGA Championship. Scott also coached the 2004 East/West Kootenay Junior Golf Team, which won a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Games in Abottsford.
